Highlights from CPS
This year, some highlights for CPS have been: New Zealand Police have developed a wonderful programme for Early Childhood Centres to complement the established Keeping Ourselves Safe programme. CPS has worked with the police and ERO to deliver and evaluate the essential training and preparation needed by teachers from Early Childhood Centres wishing to implement All About Me. We are delighted that we have supported and trained over 1000 Early Childhood Teachers from throughout the country to be confident to deliver the programme. It has been a real pleasure to work with our colleague Jo from PVH in developing the induction training programme for the Family Violence line operators. Being part of that team and developing closer relationships with Jigsaw members is an enjoyable and valuable opportunity. In August CPS was delighted to launch "How Can I Tell?" - a guide for recognising when a child or family needs help. It was sponsored by two Hamilton businesses and is free to anyone who interacts wtih children. It has been extremely well received and groups are able to order multiple copies through CPS. |
